This album is specially dedicated to Denggung, a sacred form of Gamelan that is found in the three royal palaces in Cirebon: Keraton (Palace) Kasepuhan, Kanoman, and Kacirebonan. All three Denggung sets are extremely old, a legacy from the sultanate of Banten and, according to legend, were inherited from the Pajajaran Kingdom around 500 years ago.
